allowing “what is”

June 10, 2009

This month over at “poem,” the gang is discussing Kelli Russell Agodon’s poem “Vacationing with Sylvia Plath.” It’s a wonderful poem, serious, wistful. One thing I love about it is that the writing allows the narrator to be where she is and shows us how the landscape comes to meet her in that spot. Come join us in the discussion! (and thanks, for the shout-out dumbfoundery!)

I’m glad you posted this. Reminded me to copy the poem to read on my bus rides.
