august poetry postcard #18

September 3, 2009

Another postcard for the August Poetry Postcard Festival. Destination: Bloomington, Indiana.

While I was on vacation (the Niagara Falls one), I ran out of the postcards I’d pre-pasted with images. Necessity is the mother of invention, and with no image to launch the writing, I listened to words being said around the room or on television. As a result, the next few postcards are acrostic poems, the first letter of each line spelling a word vertically. My apologies to the recipients that they are not visually attractive, but I had fun with them just the same!
