a brief intermission

April 18, 2010

I interrupt this poetry-writing marathon to thank the universe for poetry pals everywhere. I’m not sure how much of it would matter without all of you. In honor of that, here are two photos — one of me and one of Jill — from this weekend’s “WordFest” here in Albany.

The sentiment is very mutual. To you, to all of us, and it would be, but it just wouldn’t be the same! And my 18th poem this day is indeed, sub-dedicated to you and what you’ve shown me poems can do.

I speak no word against those who disagree, but for me art as love requires a direct object. Thank you for your kind words and sharing with us.
