Love this one. It really sounds like its author.

Well, I don’t see where this needs a lot of work. I really like the carefree sense it evokes; no burdens to worry about today.

This is so beautiful as is, so much of spontaneity and as Derrick says so unburdensome.

Yeah, I’m going to second the opinions above, this is pretty swell as it is… that scattering of lines adds to the rainy feel. We could all use more days like this.

the poetic format was a blessing to the words… but those last few words… “..so exposed…..so naked…..so
blessed by the world this day
    …..misery runs off you

    like water

..” like waterdrops from heaven…. beautiful… glad to have stopped by a life in the day

Carolee – this works well with text only but works particularly well with the format you’ve created. I respect your poems and will miss April!

“the sky cries all your way home / so you don’t have to ” – Lovely.
I have just under five more hours to write my last poem, on New Zealand time, and I’m putting it off by visiting blogs – suspect I will end “not with a bang, but a whimper” 🙂
