    It’s a shame to think of the clover blooms as blisters but I like your lament on the state of your lawn!

    self-indulgent and melodramatic? it doesn’t sound so to me. then again, lots of the stuff i write feels that way. i wonder if we’re just prone to thinking that about our own writing — maybe especially about things that strike a certain nerve?

    i love these. all of them.
