for a river of stones.

This is my final stone for the month (since it’s the last day of January, even though I missed the last couple of days). Visit the comments section here to see the other January 31 stones.

I shall miss my daily visit with you. Good luck, take care and I hope our paths continue to cross here and there.

i relish the notion of planting our fragments … a lot

customarily i would never be forward enough to suggest an edit (especially by way of an introduction) but, might i ask that you drop the final ‘a’ preceding flower (for effect) ? … i’d love this beautiful little stone even more that way …

    hello, Carolee, i’m noxy.

hi, noxy! nice to meet you. 🙂

i always talk about process on my blog and love when people make suggestions. since they are first drafts, i am playing with them and poking at them and enjoy being able to consider many ideas.

in this case, i already know i want to use flower as a noun and so i need that “a,” but you’re right, deleting it would work in another way.

ah, now i see it is (or can be) circular as a marble … thus, requiring a noun …

That’s a lovely line to end the collection with – especially knowing that you are in the middle of winter there – I hope you have many flowers in your garden soon.

I love this, Carolee. I plan to plant potsherds in my side garden, maybe they will grow plates covered with painted flowers.
