Here’s how I’m able to convince myself to write now, where I’ve been failing (mostly) for months: I’ve given up on making sense of things, especially not how the deer I saw this evening when I was driving to pick up the boys made his way into this poem. I’ll sort everything out some other day; I’ve had enough of trying to make things fit.
